text-diff

What it is

text-diff.

A word-level diff for showing what a rewrite changed. Segments come back as removed, added or same — and as locked for the protected ranges that came through unchanged, so a span that text-guard found and held is not drawn as if a model had touched it. Without that last state a diff says a protected name was edited when it was merely carried.
